We can photograph your underwater wedding
Planning an underwater wedding is easy.
Sunset House Hotel is the best location for an underwater wedding for several important reasons:
1. You can board a boat at the dock right at the hotel to take you to the location of your choice.
Or step in to the calm, clear, warm water at the shore and swim a short distance to the location of your choice. Many people like the flat area seaward of the mermaid where your wedding party can kneel comfortably on the bottom without fear of damaging fragile coral near by. This area is about fifty feet deep, so it is protected from the occasional surge.
2. We can provide staff support to coordinate the preparation and reading of the vows. One successful method is to have us print the ceremony on large, laminated sheets that can be read by the members of the wedding party as directed. The person assuming the duties of the minister holds up the appropriate sheet and pans it around to the audience. When the laminated form for the vows goes to the wedding couple, an attached grease pencil allows them to write in their intended's name, and the other can write his "I do".
3. At the end of the ceremony, the legal marriage officer can meet you as you leave the water and walk easily to a decorated area with a small table to perform the required legal exchange of vows. At the end, you, your witnesses and your marriage officer need to each sign several documents to make it all final.
4. Cathy, herself, can photograph the events, and you can take home prints or a DVD, with stills and or video. There are many wonderful ways that you can plan an underwater wedding, so let us know the date and we can take care of the rest.
