Sorry, Supercourses are momentarily not running, please click here to see daily courses page
In this digital age, it has become difficult to teach fourteen students at one time in a week-long SuperCourse. I am working on ideas for a new format and will announce my ideas later this year. None of the the information that follows is presently valid. I have left it up simply because I don't know right now which parts will remain in the new format. But please read on, or visit the link above to access the daily courses page.
Cathy Church - Oct 2005

What
was a Super course?
A
SuperCourse is a week of photo immersion; you get structured
instruction mixed with laughs, inspiration and individual
help all day, surrounded by others who share your interest.
Classes are limited to 14 and are taught by Cathy at Cathy Church's Underwater Photo
Centre at Sunset
House
in Grand Cayman (in the Caribbean, south of Cuba.)
Beginner? -- just right for you. Experienced?--
perfect for you, too. We teach ALL cameras, digital
and film. For information on who should take this course
and course structure and content, click on "Syllabus"
above.
I
have been teaching these courses for over thirty years,
and they just keep getting better. I team taught with
Jack and Sue last year, so we now have a streamlined,
team approach.
We
have computer stations to help with the digital cameras,
and we process E-6 film for the film shooters. We can
scan slides for each film shooter so everyone can so
some photoshop magic with their images.
It's
not just a course; it's a wonderful vacation.
You'll
feel pampered and cared for, while learning as much as
you want.
Our high repeat rate says it all--you'll succeed and have
a fun too. We get rave reviews about our incredible service.

There
is no excuse for not taking this course if you want to
take better photographs underwater. (Well, having a baby
could be an excuse, so could having three kids in college,
but the rest of you don't have an excuse, so get down
here.)
Special
Cathy Church Dive Service--you must read this!
Imagine
three-hour dives
where you can come to the stern of the boat and call
out for a film, memory card, lens or battery change.
While the photo instructor is tending to your
camera, you enjoy a snack
and a cool drink, and the dive crew is getting you a full
SCUBA tank. Meanwhile, Jack or Sue and Cathy Church (thats
me) are available underwater to make sure you get personal
attention where it counts. There is no place else
in the world where you get service like this!
Why
Take a Photo Course?
Its faster and easier than teaching yourself,
and our diving style allows you to take more pictures
per dive than you can anywhere else!
The
courses are truly multi-level -- I start with my famous
introduction: "This is the front of the camera and
this is..." In the water,
each
photographer sets his own goals and progresses
at his own pace. I
personally teach everything
from composition and maintenance, to digital menus, metering,
using flash, multiple strobe lighting, wide-angle and
close-ups, SLR and digital techniques. Jack
and Sue will show you their magic with post
digital image processing for both film and digital cameras.
We'll
do wreck, fish, wall, grotto, reef, night and Stingray
City dives.
